Environmental Policy - Labels

We use a range of label stock in producing personalised wine labels. These include various substrates required for special roles.

Currently we source label materials made from virgin wood pulp because recycled paper pulp does not given the quality label that we need. We are continuing to monitor the materials available and hope to be able to introduce a recycled element in the near future.

Our primary labels are produced from wood pulp certified as a FSC certified mixed source by the Forest Stewardship Council. This is a combination of 70% FSC pulp and 30% controlled wood pulp from responsible sources.

None of the wood pulp used in our labels avoids material that is harvested illegally; in violation of traditional and civil rights; in forests in which High Conservation Value are threatened by management activities; from areas being converted from forests and other wooded ecosystems to plantations or non-forest uses; or from forest areas in which genetically modified (GM) trees are planted.

All wood pulp used in our labels avoids material that is:

1. harvested illegally;
2. harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights;
3. from in forests in which High Conservation Value are threatened by management activities;
4. from areas being converted from forests and other wooded ecosystems to plantations or non-forest uses;
5. from forest areas in which genetically modified (GM) trees are planted.

All our label are elemental chlorine free.
